about Freddy Pirron Freddy Pirron was born in 1952. From 1972 until 1999 he worked at the Central Administration Office of Customs and Excise in Brussels in various leadership positions. He was responsible for the consultation on behalf of the Belgian customs administration in various technical committees under the auspices of the European Commission. The transposition of Community legislation into Belgian law was also his working area. During this time he was involved in various national and international training programs for customs officials in various countries of the European Union.

Between 1999 and 2003 he worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers as Tax Director during which time he was responsible for the group of consultants in Belgium advising companies on legislation with respect to customs, excise and related taxes. Starting 1st of August 2003 until December 31st, 2010, he worked as Director of WP & BSA, the VAT House, where he was responsible for the Customs & Excises Group.

Currently Freddy Pirron assists several Multinational Companies in the customs and excise matters in all countries of the European Union , Japan, the U.S. and Asia

He is the Chairman of the European Customs Platform which he founded over 10 years ago. From that position he is coaching many International Companies and is also a member of the IAB (Official Belgian Assiociation of Consultants) .

This allows him to maintain excellent contacts with the highest representatives of customs administrations in the various Countries of the European Union, the European Commission and the World Customs Organization . He is also a frequent speaker at in-company trainings or at trainings organized by various organizations both at national and international level.
